One Month Volunteer Opportunities for a General Practitioner or Pediatrician
Two short-term vacancies currently exist for a General Practitioner or Pediatrician to work with us in Xi’an.  The work is general practice type work with some pediatrics work. It involves consultations with both Chinese and international patients as well as children from our childcare centers.  Often these children are brought in for intensive care.
   July 7, 2008 to August 8, 2008

Other Opportunities to Go

The momentum is building… but the needs are still great. With so much to do and so many requests, Health For China needs health related personnel of most specialties. While we are encouraged by the growing and maturing team of Chinese and international health professionals, there are many opportunities for a range of Christian health-care professionals including --
     o Medical practitioners (preferably female) Urgent Need!
     o Pediatricians (short term) Urgent Need!
     o Surgeons (willing to make short visits annually)
     o Physiotherapists
     o Dentists
     o Audiologists
     o Medical trainers
     o Physical Therapist with training in Chemodenervation
        technique for CP children in our hospital/clinic in Xi'an
        China. We are beginning a new program for CP
        children releasing muscle tone through non-surgery.
        We are looking for Physical therapists who have specific training in the Chemodenervation technique and
        who are willing to work alongside our Dr.'s either short or long-term. Need experience with medication -
        "Botulinum Toxin".
     o Volunteer Doctors, GP's or specialized, to train and educate new techniques to rural Dr.'s in China. Most
        of the rural Dr.'s have been educated in the 1960's-70's with no continued education and need to learn
        new techniques, information on diseases, and general new information. We are looking for short or long-
        term volunteers. Need to have MD degree with at least 1-2 years practice in field.
     o Other health professionals

Some opportunities are for short-term visits to China; others require medium to long-term commitment. Health For China welcomes your enquiries and applications. If you have a heart of love and skills related to health, you could be an integral part of the health team, whether for a fortnight, a month or a year or more.
